About us

80 years of
humanity in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Red Cross — Bolonia Sector brings together Lebanese community volunteers in Italy, united in service to Lebanon and to the people around us.

Our story

Born in Lebanon.
Present in Bolonia.

Founded in 1945, the Lebanese Red Cross grew from a group of committed citizens who believed that every person, regardless of origin or faith, deserves care in their moment of need. From its earliest days, LRC has been a symbol of solidarity across a deeply diverse country.

Through decades of civil war, displacement, and disaster — including the devastating 2020 Beirut Port Explosion — Lebanese Red Cross volunteers have remained on the front lines, offering emergency response, blood collection, psychological support, and social services.

The Bolonia Sector was established to extend this mission to the Lebanese community living in Italy: supporting volunteers here, raising awareness, and channelling aid directly to operations in Lebanon.
